Dryer

Dryers are commonly used to dry active ingredients in pharmaceuticals or traditional Chinese medicine extracts, which are prone to decomposition or loss of efficacy under high-temperature conditions. Temperature monitoring is required in the heating zone, cooling zone, and material outlet of the dryer. Pressure transmitters are used to measure the pressure of air or gas, helping to regulate airflow speed and fan operation status, or to measure the pressure in steam, hot water, and hot oil pipelines.

Application Challenges:
1. The temperature inside the dryer is usually high, especially in the heating zone and areas in direct contact with the material. High temperatures can easily damage the transmitter's sensing elements, leading to inaccurate measurements or equipment failure.
2. During the drying process, especially when humidity varies greatly, water vapor or condensate may enter the transmitter, potentially causing short circuits, corrosion, or signal abnormalities.
3. Some drying equipment (such as fluidized bed dryers or vibrating belt dryers) generate mechanical vibrations and shocks during operation, which may cause transmitter connections to loosen, damage, or measurement instability.
4. Electrical equipment inside the dryer or external electromagnetic environments may produce electromagnetic interference, affecting sensor signal transmission or causing instability.

Solution Advantages:
1. Use resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) that can withstand the high-temperature environment of the dryer, with optional extension probes of different lengths to place the sensor in lower temperature areas.
2. Hygienic pressure transmitters have a protection rating of IP67, and temperature transmitters effectively reach IP65 to prevent water vapor intrusion.
3. Hygienic pressure transmitters are vibration-resistant, with GB/T18271.3/IEC61298-3 test vibration impact less than 0.1%.
4. Choose transmitters or sensor cables with electromagnetic shielding functions, and select digital signal transmission methods with strong anti-interference capabilities such as HART or PROFIBUS.
